About Nompendulo Mahlalela:

When Nompendulo Mahlalela started singing:

I started singing at a very young age and I first realised that I had the gift of singing when I was in grade 7 in 2017, when me and my friend jokingly went to choir practice from 2017 to 2022 and the choir conduct made me come to the realization that I can sing. From then, I joined the school choir, where I sang solo for most of the time and winning prizes for the school choir.

What inspired Nompendulo Mahlalela to pursue music as a career/passion:

Because I was recognized, complemented and wanted by many choral singers and conductors, that is when I decided to take my talent serious and make the people who enjoy my voice happy.

Nompendulo Mahlalela's music genre:

Choral music, because that is where I started recognizing my talent and everyone was happy for me and that my voice was the only unique voice of a sopranist. Afro pop music as my voice really fits well in that genre.

Nompendulo Mahlalela is largely influenced/inspired by:

Yes, Kelly Khumalo, Sbongile from idols and Cici and Sneziey from idols because their voices are unique as mine and they really heal me when they sing and I wanted to do the same for people who enjoy my voice.

1. "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" is a Competition fully sponsored by The Next Star Talent Hunt, a product of Balloon Technologies SA LTD. An Organization acting in compliance with International laws and the Laws of the Republic of South Africa.

2. It is an Online Talent Competition, which finds its operandi similar to other talent competitions like the America Got Talent show, The Big Brother Africa, MTN Project fame among others.

3. Registration to Participate in "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" is Completely FREE. Note this.

4. Like in every other Contest, "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" enshrines prizes for Its Winners.

1st Position: A Golden Luxe Plaque and a Monetary award of R50,000 (Fifty Thousand Rand only)

2nd Position: A Monetary award of R15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Rand only)

3rd position: A Monetary award of R5,000 (Five Thousand Rand only)

5. Winners of "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" are selected by a Simple-Majority Voting system.

6. The Voting system entails a transparent form of anyone visiting a contestant voting link and then voting for them. 1 vote is R10 (Ten Rands only). And anyone can vote for a contestant as much times as possible.

7. Payment made as Vote on any Contestant (while in contest and afterwards) would not be refunded.

8. In the Policy of enjoining Transparency, Live updates on scores of each Contestant, are made Public and available on the Contest’s website via https://thenextstar.co.za/singandwin - coupled with personalized mails and text messages forwarded to each contestant daily.

9. As by Law, Participation in "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" is completely Voluntary and Contestant can discontinue at anytime, with the Caveat of Votes counted, being lost and not refunded.

10. "The Next Star Sing and Win Contest" acts in Good faith in Accordance with International Laws and the Laws of the Republic of South Africa.
